KROG data model
Structured information for explicit legal reasoning.
The KROG data model organises actors, facts, relationships, sources and evidence for legal analysis. AISV supplies defined concepts and relations for AI standardisation and related roles. KROG rule logic expresses the rules, conditions and exceptions applied to the modelled information.
The aim is to make conclusions traceable to their inputs, applicable rules and supporting sources.
What the model represents
Actors and their roles, facts, relationships between them, the sources each fact rests on, the documentation and evidence that support it, and the links to the rules that apply. The model is not limited to standards; the example below is one bounded use.
How AISV is used
The AI Standardisation Vocabulary (AISV) defines concepts and relations for AI standardisation: deliverables, committees, stages, votes and roles under the AI Act. It is published by KROG RULES. AISV does not yet cover every concept used in the courses or in other legal fields; where it has no term, the model uses established metadata vocabularies or records the gap.
How the model connects to KROG rule logic
The model holds declared facts and their sources. KROG rule logic states the rules that are evaluated against them: who must, may or must not do what, under which conditions and exceptions. A conclusion is only a computed result when a run with documented inputs, rule identity, rule version and result trace exists. Explore the KROG framework.
Illustrative example: EN 18286
A simplified illustration. It is not a complete legal assessment, not evidence of compliance and not the output of an executed rule.

Rule to be evaluated · illustrative reasoning
Publication by CEN-CENELEC does not itself confer a presumption of conformity. Any such presumption must be assessed against the applicable legal provisions and the actual reference published in the Official Journal, including its scope and restrictions. Annex ZA identifies the correspondence between standard clauses and legal requirements; it is not a standalone guarantee of compliance.
No KROG rule run has evaluated these facts. See the EN 18286 standard page for sources.
